Safe Housing, Nutrition and Education Create Positive Changes in Guatemala

Our blog posts usually contain background information on the Finding Freedom mother’s and their children. In this case, we think the photos will tell their own story: photos of our very first Finding Freedom through Friendship mother, Maria.

The first photo was taken on the first day of the initial food delivery to Maria, her children and her widowed mother in rural Guatemala. All of those firsts put us on the road to a now six-year journey of assisting over one hundred Guatemalan widows and their children.

Our readers do not need words to understand that children who live and sleep on dirt floors become parasite infested, to understand that adequate nutrition, safe housing and sufficient education are the key ingredients in the recipe for bringing up children who will become self-sufficient citizens of our world.

No more words. The picture of our first-ever donated Finding Freedom house and the little girl (upper photo: Claire in white shirt and her sister, in Maria’s arms) who have benefited from our donations, home visits, guidance and assistance for the last six years will tell their own story.
